M3 Manufacturing Master Model

Deal with technological challenges of automobiles and of future mobility has always been part of Magneti Marelli DNA. To do so in a constantly changing environment, Magneti Marelli aims at reaching a new milestone of its history by implementing a New Organizational Model: ‘M3 Manufacturing Master Model’.

This project aims to support, to stimulate and to share a common way of working within its plants worldwide by spreading new organizational operation standards in terms of Lean Manufacturing and WCM. This in order to increase the Plants’ performance and to maximize people’s contribution and involvement.

To do so, the first step of this process was a Global Sponsor Activation Workshop held in November 2016 which involved Plant Managers and HR Managers of all 30 plants that were chosen as pilots, as well as all Manufacturing Managers of all the BLs to delve into challenges and opportunities of this process. Antonio Ferrara, Head of Manufacturing, and Andrea Franco, HR Business Partner Manufacturing, Quality and PMO, Vice President Human Resources, have hosted the event in Turin at Mirafiori Motorvillage.

Nowadays, the second wave of M3 Manufacturing Master Model involves the rest of the Organization has been launched through a second Global Sponsor Activation Workshop held in Turin on April 2017. Again, Mr. Ferrara and Mr. Franco together with Manufacturing Managers, Plant Managers and HR Managers discussed about the way to make the most of this big change. Interaction and co-creation were the keywords of the two-days interactive session in which common issues as well as local peculiarities have been taken into account.
